The research team from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Unisma, provides a sustainable integrative business assistance model for creative economy business people. This activity aims to increase the income of creative economy players or MSMEs during a pandemic.
According to Jeni Susyanti SE MM BKP, head of the research team as well as assistant of creative economy players, the majority of MSMEs play a crucial role in the Indonesian economy. They are expected to become the backbone of government revenue through local taxes and levies. Unfortunately, the increase in the number of MSME entrepreneurs does not affect taxation contributions.
“We are of the opinion that the problem is due to the lack of knowledge and understanding of the taxation of MSME owners, which is a problem in fulfilling tax obligations,” said Jeni Susyanti.
This FEB lecturer further said that research and mentoring to implement a sustainable integration model refers to the triple helix, quadruple helix and pentahelix models. That can be applied in a mentoring model for the management of creative economy businesses in an integrated, sustainable way by building a creative economy that involves the interaction of intellectuals, businesses, government, community, public service broadcasting and social media and the natural environment which is closely related to resources.
“The entire helix integrates and interacts continuously, which in turn will affect taxpayer compliance in paying taxes,” explained Jeni.
Thus, she explained that from the tax revenue, it will lead to an increase in Indonesian state income which is used for the prosperity of all Indonesian people.
This mentoring program is a research grant from the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency for year 2020. The  team members are Noor Shodiq Askandar, SE, MM and Siti Aminah Anwar, SE, MM.
This research and mentoring team collaborates with the P2KIB-BPU (Business Center) Unisma partner team, creative economy players in Malang City, Malang regency, Batu city, Kediri city and Kediri regency that are engaged in the culinary and fashion sub-sectors.
