WELCOMING  ERA 4.0 WITH HARDSKILL AND SOFTSKILL COMPETENCES

The  growing business world, as well as the onslaught of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, demand superior and highly skilled human resources. As a higher education institution that prioritizes the quality,  the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Unisma are aware of how to prepare quality human resources to support the  Indonesian development.

Based on this awareness, last week, FEB Unisma held a talkshow entitled “Graduates’ Self Development in Facing the Challenges of the Age”. With guest speaker from the House of Representatives, Arzeti Bilbina SE, MAP.

The event which was focused on prospective graduates was opened by the dean of FEB UNISMA Nur Diana, SE., M.Si, who said that FEB Unisma had the obligation to produce competent graduates by strengthening the competencies of hardand soft skills.

Hardskill has been strengthened through the mastery of science. However, mastery of soft skills becomes very urgent, especially in the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. “For this reason, we hope benefits from a talkshow with Mrs. Arzeti with the aim to provide motivation and strengthen the competency of soft skills of graduates,” She said.

Meanwhile, Arzeti Bilbina, who is also a model, inspires students by giving motivation to be more confident. “As an agent of change, young women must have a vision for the future and be able to solve problems,” She said.

In her presentation, Arzeti also invited prospective graduates of FEB Unisma to be able to develop and explore their own potential in order to focus and maintain their professionalism. “Do one job first, set it well and focus on achieving the target,” She said.

The talk show was very inspiring to the audience. Many audiences asked questions, including about tricks on how to pass a job interview. “Build your confidence, personality, ethics and aesthetics, and show good gestures  during the interview,” said Arzeti in her sharing tips.

The event which was attended by around 800 audiences is expected to be able to foster self-motivation and potential participants so that prospective graduates are able to prepare themselves to face the demands of the work markets along with changing times.
