The rector of  University of I slamMalang, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si., gave awards to Unisma students who have made achievements, both regionally, nationally, and internationally. Awards are given to achieving students both in academic and non-academic fields.
The awarding was carried out in the series of the 74th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, which was held at the front yard of the Uthman bin Affan Building, University of Islam Malang, Saturday (08/17/2019).
The students awarded are those who have successfully won champions in various competitions outside the campus. Among them were students who managed to get funding from a competition grant held by the Ministry of Education and Culture, including the Student Creativity Program (PKM), the Village Development Grant Program (PHBD), the Indonesian Student Business Competition (KBMI), the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS).
In addition, there were also awards for achievements outside the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, including: Champion in bridge competition, environmentally friendly building competition, taekwondo, marathon competition, resection competition, and Pagar Nusa martial art.
In additiontoawarding  students the rector of Unisma also gave awards to achieving lecturers and employees. Moreover, the students who excel  will get rewards in the form of tuition and free tuition fees, the amount of which is set based on the rector’s Decree
