OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT OF UNISMA’ FACULTY OF MEDICINE

Good news came from the faculty of medicine of Unisma. The faculty of medicine of Unisma has just gotten the results of the Doctor Profession Program Student Competency Test with the percentage of CBT graduation ranked fifth nationally.  The percentage of CBT graduation  is 94 percent. And the first taker score of ObjectiveStructured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is 95 percent nationwide. The test results are an indicator of the quality of medical education at Unisma.

The Dean of Medical Faculty of Unisma, dr. Rahma Triliana, M.kes., P.hD,  said that these results were feedback on the Doctor Profession Program Student Competency Test results and also the performance of students in taking Doctor Profession Program Student Competency Test during February to November 2019 nationally.

“The achievement graph of Doctor Profession Program Student Competency Test  graduation nationally increased namely in February 89.31 percent and by the end of the November the graph rose to  94 percent” she explained.

The dean and lecturer of the clinical pathology and pharmacology course explained that the aim of the Doctor Profession Program Student Competency Test was to ensure that each graduate had fulfilled the doctor competency standards set by the collegiums.

“The graduates will be able to provide services to the community  through professional practices and be able to maintain the noble value of the doctor profession” she added.

For information, Doctor Profession Program Student Competency Test  is divided into 2 types of exams,Computer Based Test (CBT) and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) in which graduation standards will be determined nationally based on passing grade. The efforts of Unisma in the Doctor Profession Program Student Competency Test are to conduct preparatory guidance such as the provision of material, tryouts, and progress tests.

This doctoral graduate at the University of Adelaide, Australia, hopes that the achievements of Unisma must continue to be improved both the percentage of graduation and the exam scores at the national level.
