COMMEMORATING THE 2020 NATIONAL ISLAMIC STUDENTS DAY

Coinciding with the commemoration of the 2020 National Islamic students Day, the Board of Directors, Rectorates and Deans in Unisma distributed free masks to the public and drivers passing in front of the Unisma campus (22/10).

Met after distributing  masks, the rector of Unisma, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.S,i said that there were several series of events held to commemorate the National Islamic students Day.

“To commemorate the Islamic students  day this year, it begins with distributing free masks, which is also an education to the people passing in front of the Unisma campus. But we have found that many do not wear masks, and we immediately pin them “said the rector of Unisma.

Furthermore, the rector of Unisma said that later there would also have a national oration with the theme “Breaking the Boundary, Guarding the Republic of Indonesia as a Shared Home” with KH. D. Zawawi Imron, the Cultural, Sufism as well as Poet of Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Beside that, Prof. Maskuri said that Unisma as one of NU’s largest campuses, must be a pioneer.

“We can use the Islamic students day as a momentum to motivate Indonesian citizens, especially in the midst of the Covid Pandemic. We have to work hand in hand and remind each other” he added.

As one of the gifts for the 2020 National Islamic students Day, Unisma has inaugurated the NU Corner which was inaugurated by the Chairman of the Tanfidziyah Regional Board of Nahdlatul Ulama KH Marzuki Mustamar, M.Ag. yesterday (21/10).
