The 40th Anniversary Celebration of which was held at the Round Building of Unisma was very lively and majestic, Wednesday (24/3).
Not only was it celebrated with a live music concert featuring domestic works such as songs of love and true love performed by guest stars, it was also followed by an Indonesian version of the Umi Kulsum music concert with Arabic lyrics and made the invited guests amazed.
Unisma also released 15 books at a time. Among them are People’s and Inspirational Leaders, The Ups and Downs of 21st Century Education, Islam Nusantara in the Perspective  of Students, Social Media for the Millennial Generation, Grounding Alquran and Sholawat, and Reading Indonesian in Students’ Perspectives,
The release of those books is the evidence  that Unisma consistently makes subtantial contribution to the intellectual field, especially in realizing the Tridharma of higher education in the form of research development and intellectual implementation for the benefit of the nation and Muslims.
It should be noted that the Lustrum event is a routine activity every five years. Therefore, the momentum of the 8th Lustrum is an event eagerly awaited by all academicians.
Not only attended by the invitees, this activity was also broadcasted live via Youtube Humas Unisma and TV9, so that academics and students who are outside Malang and cannot attend the Book Launching at the Lustrum event can watch it through the media.
“As the leader of Unisma, I highly appreciate the authors. We hope that the presence of these books can inspire readers,” said the rector of Unisma, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si.
