HOLDING AN OPEN SENATE MEETING IN THE 8TH LUSTRUM

Unisma held an open senate meeting in the 8th Lustrum at the Unisma’s Round Building on Saturday (27/3/2021). Present at the open meeting were chair of the PBNU, Prof. Dr. KH Said Aqil Siradj, regent of Malang, Sanusi,  to chair of the Malang house of representative, I Made Rian Kartika and also attended by a number of national important figures virtually.

“This is also a testament from one of the leaders of Unisma, Kyai Tolchah Hasan, to invite the top NU management leader, Kyai Said Aqil Siradj, in the inauguration of the lustrum” explained Unisma rector, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri M.Si, in his scientific oration.

In his speech, the rector of Unisma, Prof. Dr. H Maskuri Msi, conveyed a number of innovations and various achievements achieved by Unisma. That way, Unisma’s mission, moving towards World Class University, can be one step closer.

To note, Unisma is designed with concrete milestones, namely; Good University (2011-2014), Learning University (15-2018), Research University (2019-2022), Entrepreneur University (2023-2026), World Class University (2027- and beyond).

During the last 5 years, he continued, Unisma has made many prestigious achievements in the national and international arena starting from reforming the curriculum in line with KKNI based on the Indepedent-Learning Independent Campus program. Then, there is the development of a Learning Management System (LMS) in online learning that is connected to Online Learning System of Higher Education  comprising 764 courses, Outbound Mobility, Inbound Mobility and many more.

Prof. Maskuri also said that Unisma had made new breakthroughs to encourage student creativity and innovation through various award programs to provide opportunities for students to write national journals indexed at least Sinta 2 and international journals indexed by Scopus to be free from writing Skripsi (Undergraduate final project), theses and dissertations.

Last but not least, Unisma is currently in the process of building a laboratory for animal husbandry, agriculture, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, engineering, and medicine. On this occasion, 9 new infrastructures were also inaugurated starting from the Integrated Laboratory building, Islamic boarding school, business center, mosque renovation, library renovation, orchid and tissue culture laboratory, Unisma Gallery, the new Unisma batik design and the KH Oesman Mansoer building for Islamic hospital of Unisma.
