UNISMA STRENGTHENS COOPERATION WITH THE UNITED STATES

Regional Director of the English Language Office of the United States Embassy, Dr. Bradley Horn, visited the University of Islam Malang (Unisma) on Friday (6/9) afternoon. In his first visit, Bradley said that Unisma was worthy of being a campus that could strengthen relations between Indonesia and America.

“In this case, Unisma as the representation of NU‘s largest tertiary institution has a very important role to strengthen the state diplomatic relations between Indonesia and America both in the aspects of culture, politics, education and others, “he said.

Bradley also expressed that he would do his best to build relations between the two countries through the education sector because US is committed to strengthening good relations with Indonesia.

The meeting of the Regional Director of the English Language Office of the US Embassy with the rector of Unisma was a follow up to the United States General’s consulate visit to Unisma some time ago. And this meeting is as an initiation to build cooperation between Unisma and several universities in the United States.

Unisma’s rector, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si, said thatUnisma would invite the Regional English Language Office Director of the United States Embassy, Dr. Bradley Horn, to talk in an international seminar whose purpose was to share research and development issues in higher education in general.
