RELEASING  839 CANDIDATES OF SERVING BACHELORS

Unisma has released 839 students as the candidates of serving bachelors under the Covid-19 theme. The 839 students comprise 302 from faculty of Islamic studies,  94 from Faculty of Economics and Business, 18 from Faculty of Law, 28 from Faculty of Administrative Sciences, 126 from Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, 12 from Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, 15 from Faculty of Agriculture, 64 from  Faculty of Animal Husbandry and 180 from Faculty of Engineering.

They are spread throughout all regions in Indonesia starting from Java, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara, Bali, Kalimantan and Sumatra. Some of them even serve  in Thailand and Timor Leste. The thematic candidates of serving bachelors this year is based on their departments and domicile. Last Saturday (30/1), the release of the 2021 candidates of serving bachelors under the Covid-19 theme was attended by the Head of Information and Development Agency of the Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Dr. Suprapedi, M.Eng. SC., who was representing the Minister of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. (H.C). Drs. H. Abdul Halim Iskandar, M.Pd.

Unisma rector, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si,  said that the candidates of serving bachelors is a substitute for the community field service program. The candidates of serving bachelors itself is a term coined by Unisma to be in line with the Independent Learning – Independent Campus program whose  policy provides ample opportunities for each university to make new breakthroughs.

The term candidates of serving bachelors  is used because in fact the final semester students have sufficient scientific quality. They also have a broader range of insights and skills, including support and care.

“So this is one of the breakthroughs we have made. In terms of serving bachelor candidates, it is hoped that they will have greater responsibility when they are in the community, “explained Maskuri.

Meanwhile, the thematic candidates of serving bachelors, in which this year is based on expertise and domicile,  is as the evidence  that Unisma obeys  government policies namely to avoid the spread of Covid-19 more widely. Therefore candidates of serving bachelor program is carried out online and held in the domicile area of ​​each student.

The candidates of serving bachelors  participants are tasked with empowering the community. They have been equipped with the knowledge and skills during their time as students.

“So we still comply with government regulations as  our candidates of serving bachelors   program is held in the student’s home area with the hope that they will become part of the development in their respective community “he said.
