As the follow up of collaboration between the University of Islam Malang (Unisma) and the fifteen universities in Taiwan, various state universities offer various scholarship for Unisma lecturers and staffs.
The Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs and Cooperation of Unisma, Prof. Drs.H.Junaidi Mistar M.Pd., Ph.D explained that those scholarships are in response to the visit of Rector Unisma to various universities in Taiwan. Some universities in Taiwan also held education exhibition in Unisma.
“At this time, they visit Unisma to sign the MoU and hold an education exhibition,” said Prof. Junaidi.
This educational exhibition was conducted on Friday (04/26/2019). Fifteen  renowned universitiesparticipated in Taiwan Education Fair from undergraduate to doctoral degree,  including shortcourse and summer programs.
A representative from Asia University, Prof. Yuh Jiuan Parng PhD, further added that this educational exhibition from various campuses in Taiwan was an annual agenda starting last 2017. This exhibition was held in several cities such as Makassar, Denpasar, Surabaya, and Malang. Public and private universities participate in this exhibition.
“As a friendly country, Taiwan is very friendly to foreigners, because its population consists of various ethnic groups. In addition, Taiwan is one of the top 5 safest countries. So it’s very convenient to study in Taiwan, “explained Prof. Yuh Jiuan.
Moreover, the tuition fees in Taiwan are notoriously cheap. As a comparison, one-year tuition fee in Australia is the same as the cost of completing a bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Taiwan. In this particular moment, Taiwan offered scholarships for Unisma lecturers especially for those pursuing doctoral program.
