Succesfully  Developing Robotic Learning

Students of University of Islam Malang introduced robots to junior high school students. This  Robo-Learn is to prepare a superior generation of the industrial revolution era 4.0.

Ramadhan Abdillah, chair of the Unisma’s Student Creative House program team, who initiated Robo-Learn, said that the community’s need for technology is very high. So it is necessary to increase learning in junior high schools  especially through the introduction of robots. Because at this time, technology has become one thing that can not be separated from human life.

Our program entitled” Robo-Learn; Robotik Houses Preparing Superior Generation Industrial Era 4.0”. The educational institution we are targeting is Wahid Hasyim Junior High School, Malang, “he said.

The Unisma Robo-Learn team consists of five students coming across faculties. Among them are  Ramadhan Abdillah from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Adi Winaryo from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Reza Rusmanah from Mechanical Engineering, while Bayu Setiawan and Hanif Eko Lutfyanto from Mechanical Engineering as well.

He explained that the type of robot that will be introduced in this activity is called “Line Followers”, which is a simple robot operated using sensors to follow the line. With this activity, it is expected that Wahid Hasyim Junior High School students  can compete in the field of technology and can even take part in the robotic competition at the junior level.

The rector also provides rewards in the form of equivalence or recognition with relevant courses for students who have succeeded in creating creativity including those who have managed to get champions in various competitions.

The Unisma Student Creative House Program will provide funding for students who submit research and pass the selection. This program is expected to motivate this Green Campus students in order to develop comprehensive soft skills and have high competitiveness.
