Unisma’s rector, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si, offered tips for improving student body during the opening of the working meeting of Unisma graduate program. The working meeting of Unisma graduate program in 2019 was to design the 2020 program as well as a follow up of Unisma working meeting on September 27-29, 2019 at the Royal Orchid Garden Hotel Batu.
After the opening and briefing by the rector, director of the graduate program, Prof. H. M. Mas’ud Said, MM., Ph.D, submit a progress report. The development reports submitted by the graduate director include innovations at the graduate program about IT based media center, website strengthening, Multicultural Islamic Development and East Java Study Centers, workload analysis, Strengthening alumni and network, and encouraging lecturers to appear in the media as campus branding.
The rector also emphasized that certain subjects could be integrated into one course. The lecture is not the transfer of knowledge, but research-based lectures. The rector will require each study program to have partners, such as industry, institutions, government, vocational training centers in accordance with their expertise.
Furthermore the lecture must be combined between theory and practice. This will bring good collaboration. The alumni must become alumni who have the ability to answer employment, not merely become a civil servant, but there must be opportunities to become successful entrepreneurs
