Universitas Islam Malang Officially Launches Grand UNISMA Stay, A Strategic Accommodation within the UNISMA Campus Area

Universitas Islam Malang officially launched its new accommodation facility, Grand UNISMA Stay, on Friday, December 19, 2025. The inauguration was led by UNISMA Rector Prof. Drs. H. Junaidi, M.Pd., Ph.D., together with foundation leaders and university officials, marking the university’s commitment to enhancing services for students’ families and visiting guests.

Grand UNISMA Stay is located within the campus complex, specifically in the Rusunawa 3 (Student Apartment Building) area, making it highly strategic for parents and guests who wish to stay close to campus without having to look for accommodation elsewhere in the city.

According to Prof. Junaidi, the initiative was inspired by concerns from many parents who had difficulty finding comfortable lodging near the university when visiting their children.

“With the presence of Grand UNISMA Stay, we hope to provide a practical solution while strengthening the university’s service to the public and our institutional partners,” he stated.

The facility offers amenities comparable to a four-star hotel, including air-conditioned rooms, smart TVs, internet access, and modern bathrooms equipped with water heaters and complete toiletries. The interior design emphasizes comfort and aesthetics, creating an appealing atmosphere for guests.

In its initial phase, Grand UNISMA Stay provides six to eight rooms available for daily rental. UNISMA has partnered with a professional hospitality operator, RedDoorz, to support marketing and operational management. Room rates are designed to remain affordable, well below five-star hotel standards, while still offering competitive comfort for families and official campus guests.

Prof. Junaidi added that this facility is expected to enhance UNISMA’s public image while serving as a supporting unit for both academic and non-academic activities on campus. There is also potential to expand the number of rooms and facilities in the future, depending on demand. The inauguration ceremony was symbolized by a ribbon-cutting led by the Rector and foundation leaders, followed by a direct tour of the guest rooms and facilities.
