Cooperating with PERSEMKI of East Java Chapter

Unisma has opened wider opportunities in cooperation with all parties including vocational schools of health. This cooperation is manifested in the signing of MoU between Unisma and Indonesian Association of Vocational School of Health (PERSEMKI) for east Java chapter. This cooperation is packaged in the agenda of launching agreement between PERSEMKI for East Java chapter and Unisma. That agenda is ended in the submission of competency certificate from National Board of Profession Certification (BNSP)  for Indonesian health service workers.

The dean of Medical Faculty of Unisma, dr. RahmaTriliavna, M.Kes, said that we have to think of what we could do in this cooperation particularly with pharmacy study program especially when the students of vocational school of health would like to continue their study in Medical Faculty under stipulation of academic rules.”Based on the existing rules, the graduates of vocational schools of health can only admit to pharmacy faculty but not to medical study program” she confirmed.

Similarly, the head of PERSEMKI of East Java chapter, Drs. Fatchul Djinan, CH, further explained that PESEMKI is just a 3-year old organization but has contributed to the 2016 regulation of ministry of health no. 80 on the work administration of health service workers. “This is one of our attempts to allow the vocational schools of health to have legal foundation” He said.

In addition, the head of PERSEMKI of east Java chapter expressed that the vocational schools of health lack of research and development facilities; hence this cooperation is expected to improve the knowledge of teachers of vocational schools of health.
