Unisma Malang again won the trust to the opening of the grand event,  the Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) in East Java participated by  1,254 students representing 38 cities and districts in East Java.
In his opening speech, Unisma’s rector, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si, said that KSM is a concern of the Ministry of Religion in creating an atmosphere of development between Science and Islam which is open to the public, not only within the Ministry of Religion but also for the Ministry of Education and Culture.
“I as a practitioner and also the rector of the University of Islam Malang (Unisma)warmly welcomed this event. Because Unisma has made history in the Ministry of Religion i.e. hosting the National Madrasah Expo Competition for the first time, “said the Rector of Unisma, Wednesday (08/14/2019).
He illustratedthat today’s Madrasah is like a beautiful girlwho is contested by society amid moral decadence as Madrasah is now building a civilization integrating science and Islam.
Unisma is also very open toMadrasah development training. This campus has prepared expert staff who have given a lot of training in one year not only in East Java, but also in Kalimantan, Sumatra, NTT and NTB, where the rector was also present to give the General Stadium to the principals as well as teachers who have serious attention to improve the quality of education.
In the future Unisma will be ready for national scale KSM.The rector promised to build  facilities and infrastructure like  a 5 star hotel. Several welknown figures were also present in this agenda such as head of  Ministry of Religion Malang chapter, Malang Mayor, and Directorate General of Islamic Education Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Komarudin Amin, M.Ag.
