Unisma consistently  seeks to expand collaboration in order to improve the quality and service of education. This was manifested in the signing of the MoU between Bank Mandiri and Unisma, the best university in the Nahdlatul Ulama circle.

The signing was carried out directly by the rector of Unisma, Prof. Dr. H Maskuri Msi and the CEO of Regional VIII/Java 3 of Bank Mandiri, I Gede Raka Arimbawa in strict health protocols at the Umar Bin Khattab Unisma Building,on Tuesday (23/11).

According to Prof. Maskuri, this collaboration is actually very strategic. Although this cooperation is specifically related to the financial service system. However, in general it includes several points, namely support for the implementation of the Independent Learning – Independent Campus program, including financing and community assistance.

“Moreover, soon we will launch the Golden Generation Entrepreneur program and academic OPOP or One Pesantren (Islamic boarding school) One Product. This is part of instilling our entrepreneurial spirit in Islamic boarding schools and Unisma students,” he explained.

In line with that, the CEO of Regional VIII/Java 3 of Bank Mandiri, I Gede Raka Arimbawa, explained that Bank Mandiri is committed to supporting Unisma as one of the universities in Malang City. This support is provided through the facilitation of internships, research, and sharing education as practitioners.

“In a broader sense, this MoU is for the synergy between banks and universities. This includes providing insightful lectures that are inspiring in nature,” he added.

In addition to internships, his party also has an entrepreneurship program for students through an independent young entrepreneurship program that recruits entrepreneurial students from campus to campus. “Our hope is that in the future more entrepreneurs will be born from campus. So that it is no longer graduates who want to find work, but graduates who do create jobs,” he concluded.
