In the event which was broadcast live on the Unisma Official Humas YouTube channel, Prof. Marsuki also hoped that by holding this intellectual forum, it was hoped a formulation of an ideal leadership profile for NU towards a century can be established. “We want to bring NU to have higher charisma and keeping good quality,” he added.

The webinar activity which was held in commemoration of National Santri Day presented speakers including, KH  Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman, Prof. Dr. KH  Nadirsyah Hosen from Monash University, Prof. Lik Arifin Mansyur Mansurnoor BG SPS from the Graduate School of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and Pastor Father Antonius Benny Susetyo.

Meanwhile, on the same occasion, KH  Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman or who is familiarly called Gus Mifta explained that the Chairman of the organizing committee of NU must have three criteria namely mastering the managerial and leadership aspects, having a broad network that is not only in the field of religion but also in the fields of nationality, economy, culture, social and politics. “Finally, the NU leader must have a vision and mission that is relevant to the problems of the people today,” he explained.

Gus Mifta emphasized that future NU leaders must be technologically literate, adaptive to changing times, and able to enter the millennial circle. “So I hope, whoever the elected leader should focus on and pay attention to the millennial group,” he added.
