Unisma held an international conference entitled The Second International Student Exchange of Ideas (ISEoL) in 2021 with the theme “Success Stories From Around The World”. This forum was held for two days, from November 11 to November 12, 2021. The activity was held online and offline.
This agenda presents several keynote speakers including Nadiem Makarim, the Minister of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, Chairman of Commission X of the house of representative from Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa, Syaiful Huda, Chair of the Indonesian Rector Forum, Prof. Ir Panut Mulyono. Meanwhile, keynote speakers from overseas include H E Mr. Vincent Piket Ph.D who is the European Union Ambassador to Indonesia.
Unisma rector, Prof. Dr. Maskuri, Msi, gave a live welcoming speech on the 7th floor of the graduate building. In the agenda attended by 500 students from 35 countries, Prof. Maskuri said that ISEoL is very important for education both nationally and internationally because this forum is for sharing the success stories of leaders and students from abroad and within the country.
“So the task is how to grow and cultivate students’ imaginations so that they can be innovative and creative. Hence, students will be productive and have a competitive attitude amid global competition,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof. Maskuri said that the Unisma is a university that upholds religious values, tolerance, culture, and competence guided by the motto of rahmatan lilalamin (A mercy to all creation). Through this agenda, participants are expected to get benefit from this international conference.
