The 66th Graduation Ceremony, Proud of Holding Degree from Unisma

Becoming a graduate of Unisma is a pride. This is what the graduates feel, especially in the 66th-period graduation ceremony of the 2020-2021 academic year. Unisma, which has now been transformed into a superior campus in the Indonesian best university ranking, has led them to the gates of success.

The best graduate of undergraduate level, Neni Elfina, SM, conveyed her pride in being one of the best graduates of this leading Nahdlatul Ulama College. The quality of Unisma’s education has made him confident to compete in the world market and take part in the community. “Of course I’m proud because Unisma has become a campus that is reckoned with in this country,” she said.

Meanwhile, the best graduate of the Medical Profession Study Program, dr. Elika Kandara Trican conveyed an unforgettable impression while studying at Unisma. According to her, since the last few years, Unisma has made rapid progress. There have been many buildings that stand majestically which is supported by complete facilities. “It’s a lot different from when I was just admitted in 2013,” she said.

Unisma inaugurated 1557 graduates in this 66th-period graduation ceremony. They are from the undergraduate, professional and graduate programs. The graduation ceremonies were carried out offline and divided into five stages. Today’s graduation is the fifth stage. Up to now, more than 60 thousand graduates have been produced by Unisma.

Unisma’s rector, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si, stated that “the achievements of our graduates are always a surprise every year. Our graduates are great. Our determination is great even though the input is number 2, the output must be number 1,” he said.

The chairman of the NU College Rector Forum explained that Unisma graduates have Islamic provisions that are in accordance with the principles of  Islam Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah  namely moderate, tolerant, harmonious and proportional.

This principle is always internalized into personal consciousness which is finally externalized into a tolerant awareness, with collective action colored by the development of creativity, innovation in science and technology. “We continue to improve the quality of education which offers benefit to the people, nation, state, and world civilization,” he said.
