RELIGIOUS TALK WITH BY ANWAR ISKANDAR

University of Islam Malang or commonly called Universitas Islam Malang (Unisma) commemorated the Nuzulul Quran or the revelation of the Koran by chanting Sholawat Diba’ (praises to prophet Muhammad) with PWNU, (Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Management board) East Java chapter, Monday (3/5/2021). The activity which was held at the Ainul Yakin Unisma mosque was attended directly by the head of Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Management board for East Java chapter, KH. Anwar Iskandar and Deputy Regent of Malang city, Didik Gatot Subroto.

“I appreciate Unisma’s rector who has consistently socialized the holy Koran values. This effort is enough to be used as a provision to face Allah SWT,” said KH. Anwar Iskandar in his religious talk.

Anwar Iskandar asserted that the holy Koran can be a reference for reviewing various aspects of life, not only about the relationship between humans and the creator, but the Koran also has universal values such as daily life activities, how-to live-in society, good norms in politics and even in the military” he said.

He hopes that Unisma can continue to consistently socialize the Qur’an values and deal with challenges to become the best campus.

Meanwhile, the rector of Unisma, Prof. Maskuri, explained that the rapid development of Unisma cannot be separated from the consistency of the Unisma big family in echoing the Qur’an values and practicing them

“The chanting of the holy verses of the Koran at Unisma is indeed echoed endlessly. This is our manifestation to get closer to the Creator,” he said.

Deputy Regent of Malang, Didik Gatot Subroto, on his opportunity said, religious activities such as those held by Unisma can indeed be a filter for negative things that can keep distance between human and Allah SWT.

He hopes that what Unisma has done can be an example for other campuses. In this holy month of Ramadan, he also invites the community to improve their devotion to Allah SWT. “Hopefully Unisma can realize its dream to be an international campus,” he said
