EXPANDING COOPERATION TO GERMANY

Unisma strengthens networking to the European continent. This time the opportunity for cooperation was established with Germany which is facilitated directly by the ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Federal Republic of Germany, Arif Havas Oegroseno.

Last Wednesday (5/5), the cooperation was discussed in an international webinar. The theme is the opportunity for cooperation between Indonesia and Germany to realize the millennium development goals to build world civilization. The agenda was moderated by Dr. Imam W. Karimullah, MA as the head of the Unisma’s International Affairs Office.

The International Webinar was broadcasted in live streaming on the HumasUnismaOfficial Youtube account. This international webinar was watched by hundreds of participants from Unisma, Nahdlatul Ulama Colleges throughout Indonesia and other universities.

The rector of Unisma, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si, said that Unisma would never stop strengthening cooperative relations between countries and international universities. He added that Unisma has also prepared cooperation with several institutions in Germany. Through building communication with the Indonesian ambassador to Germany, it is hoped that the cooperation process can run smoothly. “In this case, we hope that there will be support from the ambassador,” he said

The ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Federal Republic of Germany, Arif Havas Oegroseno explained about the possible cooperation in the field of education between Germany and universities in Indonesia. He said that cooperation with Germany was very easy. “So far the difficulty is in the aspect of relations that connects the link to the addressed parties” he said

Arif also revealed that, statistically, many Indonesian universities have collaborated with foreign countries. There are 148 countries that have cooperation with Indonesian campuses.
