RELEASING STUDENTS OF INDEPENDENT LEARNING-INDEPENDENT CAMPUS PROGRAM BY MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, CULTURE, AND TECHNOLOGY

The implementation of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus program at Unisma was participated by hundreds of students and lecturers. The announcement of the acceptance and release of the participants of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus program was carried out online (13/9).

In his remarks, the rector of Unisma, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri Bakri Msi, ensured that those who were selected to join the program would get many benefits. “It’s great fun for self-improvement and practicing responsibility to those around us,” he said.

In this agenda, Maskuri also gave a message to lecturers and students to be serious about acquiring knowledge. “Now is the time to acquire as much knowledge as possible according to their respective interests and talents,” he said.

Meanwhile, the head of the bureau of academic and student administration affairs of Unisma, Ronny Malafia, SE, MM, added that there were four Independent Learning-Independent Campus-related programs held at Unisma. “There are Teaching Campus program batch 2, student exchange, internships, and certified independent studies. Everything has gone through a rigorous selection stage at the Ministry of Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia,” he explained. A total of 223 students and 42 lecturers passed the selection stage.

For the Teaching Campus Program, there are 180 participating academics. “In detail, there are 26 lecturers as field supervisors and 154 students,” said Ronny. They come from 12 study programs.

A total of 128 students will teach at the elementary level and 24 others at the junior high school level spread over 10 destination areas. These include East Java, Central Java, Bali, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Riau Islands, Lampung, West  Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara,  to Southeast Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, the exchange program was attended by 247 students. “47 Unisma students took part in batch 1 exchanges at 26 universities throughout Indonesia. While from outside Unisma there were 200 who came with the offline scheme (44 people) and online (156 people),” he added. This number is still added with 13 inbound course lecturers and 3 Nusantara Module lecturers.

For certified internships, six students are accepted. “They are from the undergraduate study programs of Agribusiness, Animal Husbandry, Accounting, Management, Mathematics Education, and Literature and Indonesian Language Education. This has been going on for six months, adjusting to partner institutions,” said Ronny.

Meanwhile, for Certified Independent Studies, 16 students were accepted. “This program also runs for  six months, adjusting to partner institutions,” he added
