SPIRIT  FOR THE STUDENT CREATIVITY PROGRAM

New students of University of Islam Malang (Unisma) get an injection of motivation to become students who are able to make achievements. Vice rector 3 of Unisma, Dr. Ir. H. Badat Muwakhid, M.P, said that successful people in the career do not only have intellectual abilities but  also has potential in creativity.

This was conveyed by the vice rector 3 of Unisma during the online opening and socialization of Student Creativity Guidance on Wednesday (25/11).

Vice rector 3 said that science and creativity must strengthen each other. If the combination is successful, someone will be able to compete in life in the global era. This statement is supported by the results of a survey conducted by the Student Affairs Division of Unisma every year.

“The result can be concluded that when being students, they were able to forge themselves into smart and creative students, they were then successful in the work market,” he said.

One of the prestigious creativity events in Indonesia is the Student Creativity Program. This activity is an arena for students to develop their potential, including Unisma students.

Therefore, new students will be fostered by lecturers to be able to hone their intuition and bring out their creativity. During the process, students are also guided to realize it in written form  namely in the form of a Student Creativity Program  proposal.

“Those who enter National Scientific Week (Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa National) are selected and special students. We are sure you will get the opportunity. So don’t worry, keep doing your best, “he said to the new students.

Students who successfully pass their proposal to receive grants from the government will receive many facilities from the campus. Among other things, there is no need to take courses in accordance with the Student Creativity Program  field because the faculty will convert the competition fields into the appropriate courses.

In addition, students also receive generosity from the campus such as an exemption from tuition fees for one semester. And the special thing is that for those who passed National Scientific Week (Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional) and managed to become champions, they do not need to do a thesis assignment. “We will not write  the thesis, and automatically with grade A,” he said.

Student Creativity Program National reviewer, Dr. Arif Nur Fajar, M.Pd, who was the speaker in the socialization this time provided insight and strengthened motivation for freshmen. He was sure that the freshmen of Unisma had high creativity and motivation and had a special ability to compete in Student Creativity Program.

“This ability will be developed in Unisma which will be served  to the country and the nation to make families proud and beneficial to religion,an offering from dignified Unisma intelligent people, ”he said.
