Unisma always has a way of bringing the spirit of change from the education sector. One of them was through a Focus Group Discussion entitled “The Second Century NU Road Map” which was held on a hybrid basis, Thursday (9/12).
Present in this activity is the rector of Unisma, Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si, along with other o resource persons including the head of Branch Management board of NU Jember, Prof. Dr. KH. Abd, Halim Soebahar MA; general chief of NU, Dr (Hc) KH. Afifuddin Muhajir; Gus Dur’s friend, Prof. Dr. KH. Nasichin Hasan; and the caretaker of the Islamic boarding school of Amanatul Ummah, Prof. Dr. KH. Asep Syaifuddin Chalim M.Ag.
Prof. Maskuri said that Unisma has one thought that by the second century, NU must have a road map to a better life and at the same time cannot be separated from the history of NU‘s one century journey.
The rector r of Unisma also said that Unisma also has a milestone in welcoming World Class University in 2027.
“We have gone through Good Governance, Learning University, and now Unisma is entering Research University, and in 2023 Unisma will have entered Entrepreneur University which ultimately, God willing, Unisma will declare itself as a World Class University in 2027. This is the experience that has been formulated by Unisma and for NU we will make a roadmap of the journey starting from the first to the fifth stages,” he added.
Several points emphasized by Unisma in the road map to the second century of NU include organizations or institutions, improving people’s welfare, information technology, environment, and climate change, education and health, state, religion, or aswaja ideology.
“Unisma as one of the Nahdlatul Ulama Universities wants to contribute to NU through a road map initiated by leaders at the East Java both at national and international levels through this activity,” he explained.
