GOLD MEDAL FOR UNISMA’S STUDENT CHOIR

The student choir of Unisma  always excels every year even during the COVID-19 pandemic. This series of achievements continues to be carved out by this student choir of Unisma named  Bunga Almamater.

Most recently, they won a gold medal in the 2021 Maranatha Virtual Choir Festival (MVCF) which was held on 27-30 May 2021. This festival was attended by 12 participants in the college / general choir category throughout Indonesia.

Maranatha Virtual Choir Festival 2021 was held virtually, starting from registration to awarding ceremony. The criteria needed to participate in this competition are adjusted to the categories that are participated in. Technically, the participants sent videos to the committee. The video also has a stipulation that the chorus video is carried out virtually.

“We sang one song, Nascatur Pax composed by Kentaro Sato,” said the chairman of the student choir of Unisma, Bunga Almamater, Muhammad Ridwan Ahsani.

Representing his friends, Ridwan was happy with this latest achievement. The student choir of Unisma,  Bunga Almamater, has outperformed. “Of course we are very happy as our team have won the gold medal. Hopefully, it can be our spirit to excel again in the next competition,” he said.

Prior to the 2021 Maranatha Virtual Choir Festival gold medal, the student choir of Unisma,   Bunga Almamater, also collected many achievements such as  six championships in 2019. Among them are Gold Medal, 2nd Place Mixed Youth Category at Penabur International Choir Festival, Gold Medal Folklore Category at Penabur International Choir Festival and 1st Place in Choir Category at UINSA Student Choir Festival.

Meanwhile, in 2020, we won the Silver Medal Folklore Category at 2nd World Virtual Choir Festival, Silver Medal Pop & Jazz Category at 2nd World Virtual Choir Festival and contender 1 in Vocal Group Category at the 2020 National Student Art event.
