THE FIRST PLACE IN THE FIRST TAKER OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION PROGRAM STUDENT COMPETENCY TEST

 

Faculty of Medicine of Unisma is in joy since, Unisma is ranked in the first place as the first taker of the Medical Profession Program Student Competency Test for the February-November 2021 period, all of which pass the test. This achievement should be appreciated because in 2019 Unisma was ranked 5th for First Taker of the Medical Profession Program Student Competency Test. Then in 2020 Unisma was in 2nd place. And in 2021 Unisma won the top rank out of 74 faculty of medicines at private and state universities throughout Indonesia.

According to the Dean of the Unisma Faculty of Medicine, dr. Rahma Triliana MKes Ph.D., this achievement could not be separated from the cooperation of the Unisma with hospitals including Syarifah Ambami Rato Ebu (Syamrabu) Regional Hospital, Bangkalan Regency, Kanjuruan Kepanjen Hospital, Mardi Waluyo Hospital, Blitar, Blamba Hospital. “Then there are other network hospitals, namely RSI Unisma, RSJ Raddjiman Widyodiningrat Lawang, Hospital Bayangkara Porong and the Muslimat Singosari clinic. These 8 hospitals have very good synergy,” he said

Before the implementation of the Medical Profession Program Student Competency Test, the Faculty of Medicine of  Unisma had made some preparations. Among them are providing exam training, and involving approximately 12 alumni of the Faculty of Medicine of Unisma as a place to share knowledge so that students are better prepared to face Medical Profession Program Student Competency Test. “Before the exam, we also make buddy partners or learning peers taken from seniors who have passed, so the Faculty of Medicine of Unisma alumni also play a role in helping their juniors to be better prepared when facing exams,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Unisma, Prof. Dr. Maskuri M.Si, expressed his appreciation for the extraordinary achievements of the Unisma Medical Faculty, which cannot be separated from smart, thorough, and sincere work. “This is a matter of pride for Unisma. For 3 years, Faculty of Medicine of  Unisma has succeeded in proving its existence,” he said

Prof. Maskuri also hopes that the achievements of Unisma Faculty of Medicine will be a trigger for other faculties to improve the quality of superior human resources to be competitive at the National and International levels.
